Sisters Ride to School in Police Car After Library Auction Win

Sisters Aspen and Winter Vaccone enjoyed a special ride to school with Officer Taryn Kelly after winning a “Ride to School in a Police Car” at the Helen Kate Furness Library’s Well Red silent auction. Their mother Erin joined the trip as Officer Kelly extended the route to point out department vehicles, then drove first to Aspen’s school (Aspen, almost 7, is a first grader at Wallingford Elementary) and then to Winter’s (Winter, almost 5, attends the pre-K 5’s program at Swarthmore Friends Nursery School). Winter presented Officer Kelly with a bouquet of leaves she collected, and the family expressed gratitude to Officer Kelly and the Nether Providence Police Department for a memorable morning.
