Sisters Ride to School in Police Car After Winning Library Auction
Sisters Aspen and Winter Vaccone were escorted to school by Officer Taryn Kelly after winning a “Ride to School in a Police Car” at the Helen Kate Furness Library’s Well Red silent auction.
Aspen and Winter Vaccone enjoyed a special police-escorted ride to school after winning the “Ride to School in a Police Car” at the Helen Kate Furness Library’s Well Red silent auction on September 19; their mother Erin joined the girls for the morning. Officer Taryn Kelly stretched the route to show the police department and other vehicles, then dropped Aspen at Wallingford Elementary and Winter at Swarthmore Friends Nursery School, where Winter presented the officer a bouquet of leaves she’d made. Their mother praised Officer Kelly and the Nether Providence Police Department for a warm, patient experience that created lasting memories.
