South Heidelberg Police Join Conrad Weiser Middle School Career Day
Officers and a West Reading detective led e-scooter safety and hands-on forensics demonstrations to teach students about safety and policing careers.
The South Heidelberg Township Police Department, joined by Detective Karie Good of the West Reading Police Department, participated in Conrad Weiser Middle School’s Career Day to inform students about careers and safety. Officers staged an e-scooter safety scenario discussing legality, risks and responsible riding, and demonstrated forensic techniques including fingerprint lifting, allowing students to lift and examine their own prints. The department said the event promotes safety awareness and helps build positive community relationships.
