On July 30, 2026, the York City Police Department and the York County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at York Convenience, 164 W. Market St., after complaints of suspected narcotics activity. Investigators recovered approximately four pounds of marijuana products being sold as “legal marijuana,” marketed as THC‑A, plus $971 in cash and packaging materials. The department warned that labeling a product “legal” does not guarantee compliance with Pennsylvania law; the investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the York City Police Department.
