Castle Shannon road work, overnight closures Oct. 8–16, 2026
Nighttime closures and daytime maintenance are scheduled across Castle Shannon; expect delays and plan alternate routes.
The Castle Shannon Police Department advises residents of multiple road works and closures in October 2026. The Killarney Tunnel will be closed overnight from 7pm–6am the week of October 12–16, 2026, for Columbia Gas subcontractors; Columbia Gas crews will also work overnight on Castle Shannon Blvd on October 8 (8pm–6am) and from October 11–16. Mele and Mele will perform line painting and other daytime maintenance along the Route 88 corridor on October 8 and October 11, 2026; motorists should expect possible delays.
