Michael S. Sczyrek arrested on outstanding retail theft warrant
Jackson Township police arrested 60-year-old Michael Sczyrek on Oct. 20 on a warrant tied to a Sept. 28 retail theft at the Ace Hardware in Hanover Mall; bail was set at $10,000.
On October 20, 2026, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Jackson Township Police took 60-year-old Michael Sczyrek of Shavertown into custody on an outstanding warrant stemming from a retail theft at the Ace Hardware store in Hanover Mall on September 28. After arraignment by District Justice David Barilla in Forty Fort, bail was set at $10,000 and Sczyrek was transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 28th at 9:30 a.m. at the Luzerne County Central Court in Wilkes-Barre.
