George Virgil Dayton Jr., 51, was taken into custody in Atlantic City on September 24, 2026, on an arrest warrant issued by Forks Township. At arraignment before Judge Hutnik, bail was set at $75,000 and Dayton was transported to Northampton County Prison; he had been held at Atlantic County Jail pending extradition. The warrant followed a September 18 report in which a victim provided officers with text messages alleging Dayton stalked and threatened them.
