On September 22, 2026, at about 5:45 p.m., Saugerties Police arrested Robert A. Kovacs Jr., 37, of Mt. Marion, NY. He was charged with the felony of Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree and the misdemeanors of Assault in the 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest. Kovacs was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and released on appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Saugerties and Village of Saugerties Justice Courts.
